 Scott Thompsön
I wanted to become a musician ever since I was in first grade. My hero at the time was Ace Frehley. Although I would later learn that he wasn't really from outer space, and that there were probably better guitarists out there; I still hold him up there a some of my earliest influences.
At age 13 or so I started playing the guitar. I had acquired different influences by then, namely Alex Lifeson and Trevor Rabin. From that point I focused on becoming anall-around musician; I learned how to play the bass and the piano. I played in every kind of band that would have me - everything from a church-based classical guitar trio to jazz combos; and from heavy metal acts to performing solo in coffee shops. I am a musical whore. In college I toured in a couple of rock bands before returning to the Detroit scene. I later went on to sign with Laser Eye Records and release my first official solo CD, "All The Wisdom," in the Spring of 2007.
I love progressive rock andI love metal. For me, Mellotron blends these things together better than peanut butter and chocolate. I am totally prepared to take on the responsibility of being in the band that eventually conquered, destroyed, and then rebuilt the planet. |
